The Annual Meeting of WG (a workshop) was organized at the Tsaghkadzor Marriot Hotel on November 20, 2019 to introduce and discuss the general concept of the HAI&R project developed by WG with stakeholders and share the good practices and knowledge of Austrian and Georgian experts. This was the first full, stand-alone meeting for HAI&R project to introduce and discuss the project with a large audience. It was one day meeting. The MOE introduced the general concept of the HAI&R project and the experts from Austria and Georgia presented AI&R system in their countries and main lessons learned on HAI&R project during the workshop. The meeting’s main focus was the general concept of the HAI&R project developed by the WG and comments and recommendations by the participants, experts. All comments and suggestions were collected, elaborated and incorporated in the general concept of the HAI&R project and submitted to the RA government by the MOE for review and approval. The general concept offers a good start of the project helping to establish a sustainable and operational AI&R system in Armenia. At this workshop there were about 33 participants (o/w 11 women), who came from MOE, SFSI, ADC Armenian office, partner international organizations, local organizations, the private sector, including farmers and processors, Pedigree Animal breeders Association, National Association of Veterinarians, National Agrarian State University, etc.
