On February 21, 2019, Austrian Development Agency (ADA) with the Center for Agribusiness & Rural Development (CARD) and partners celebrated the official launch of the Holding and Animal Identification and Registration (HAI&R) Project in Armenia, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Yerevan. The Head of office for the South Caucasus (ADA) Gerhard Schaumberger delivered opening remarks at the kick-off meeting. The project’s manager Nazeli Grigoryan presented the goals and objectives of the project which are designed to promote improved animal health and animal breeding management leading to higher productivity of cattle and higher income of farmers in Armenia through HAI&R Project. The main objectives of the meeting were to set the official start of the project, establish relations between all partners, stakeholders, provide clarification about administrative issues and define the specific work that the project is going to make in the following two years.
The event were attended by 36 participants (o/w 11 women), amongst them 14 State officials (5), 13 veterinarians (0), 9 farmers (0).
